The Summer Palace(Yiheyuan)

As one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, The Summer Palace, or Yiheyuan is the renowned imperial garden in Beijing. Embedded with the history of dramatic dynasty, the Summer Palace also presents the spectacular scenery of Chinese garden. Longevity Hill and Kumming Lake are the dominating parts in the Summer Palace.

A variety of palaces, gardens, and classical oriental architectures are orderly scattered in The Summer Palace. Unfortunately, it suffered two major attacks, one was during the Anglo-French allied invasion of 1860 and the other one was during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900. The garden was rebuilt in 1886 and 1902.

Other features in the Summer Palace also include 17-Arch Bridge, the long Corridor, the Cloud-dispelling Hall, the Tower of Buddhist Incense, etc.
