Established in 1955 in Shanghai City, Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC) provides large-scale international and domestic conference and exhibition services. For 40 years, Shanghai Exhibition Center has held numerous important political and diplomatic events. Now Shanghai Exhibition Center has become the main conference center of Shanghai.

In 1989, with its unique Russian style architecture and elegant decorations, Shanghai Exhibition Center was awarded as one of “Shanghai’s top 10 Architectures in the period of 1949-1989.” In 1999, during the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, Shanghai Exhibition Center was awarded a gold medal for being one of “Shanghai ' s top 10 Classical Architectures.”

In 2001, Shanghai Exhibition Center was refurnished for better environments and more reliable facilities. Located at the heart of JingAn district, Shanghai Exhibition Center has an area of 9.3 square meters with 42 exhibition halls and over a hundred conference rooms as well as offices, cinema, banquet and cafe.
