Wulai
Wulai, a term used by native Taiwanese Tai Ya tribe, means hot spring. Obviously, hot spring is a main feature of Wulai. The hot spring here is colorless and odorless, very different from other hot springs in Taiwan.
Wulai features its unique sightseeing trail train. A couple years ago, the trail train was used for the transportation of lumber for the development in this area. Another feature here at Wulai is the cable car of Yunshan amusement park that sits atop the magnificent waterfalls.
Apart from its natural environment, Wulai also features indigenous culture center which includes the native culture, traditional habits, and historical artifacts of Tai Ya tribe. Nowadays, Wulai has been a popular scenic spot for tourists. It is a beautiful place to visit in Taipei County.
