Kenting National Park

Kenting National park, established in 1984, is one of most popular recreation centers in Taiwan. Situated on Hengchun Peninsula, the southern of Taiwan, Kenting National park faces the Pacific Ocean, the Taiwan Strait, and the Bashi Channel. The coastal area stretches across 15185 hectares and total area of the park is 33269 hectares.

The Kenting Forest Recreation Area is within the Kenting National park, the first tropical botanical garden in Taiwan as well as one of the eight largest forest research centers in the world, containing more than a thousand species of tropical plants.

The Kenting National park features various natural views, such as sand seashores, fringing reef shores, rock seashores, limestone tableland cliffs, isolated mountains, slumping cliffs, river mouths, rivers and lakes. Attractions in this park include the Silver Dragon Cave, Fairy Cave, Weeping Banyon Valley, and so on.

At the beach of the Kenting National Park, visitors are able to join some interesting water activities, as scuba diving, coastal diving, boat diving, submarine, water scooter, banana boat, and surfing.
