Lushan Hot Spring

Sep. 2008 Typhoon Sinlaku slammed into Lushan Hot Spring, causing landslides that blocked traffic here. Sightseeing is not suggested during this period.

Lushan Hot Spring is one of the four famous Taiwan hot springs, located in Nantou County. Mahaipu River and Taluowan River are the two sources of Lushan Hot Spring, separated by the suspension bridge. Both for drink and for bathing is the characteristic of Lushan Hot Springs, the carbonic sodium spring is up to 87 degree centigrade and is ideal for heat hydrotherapy. Lushan Hot Spring was named Fuji Hot Spring during the Japanese Occupation periods, it is also called Cherry Hot Spring for the cherry blossoms view. For the therapeutic benefit, Lushan Hot Spring owned a reputation of the first and the best hot spring in the world.

By Railway:
Take train to Ganchen Station, Taichung, transfer to Nantou Bus to Puli direction, take off at Lushan Stop.
